Looking for a armour dedicated for or at least suited for odachi builds
Is there any armour that has specific bonuses for odachi or odachi skills ?

If not, which armour do you suggest using ? I would prefer a medium set, if possible.

Thanks

Dunno if there is any deticated for odachi.
Me odachi user here, use tatenashi + grace of oyamatsumi for 70% damage reduction. All pieces heavy armor type for max damage reduction. Tatenashi gives You huge elemental and firearms reduction too.
70% damage reduction makes Way of the Nioh calm as f@ck even on slow, 70%+ equipment load. Massive toughness for odachi is usefull too. I've didn't even looked for any better armor sets, just selling every other item.

Under 70% equipment load possible on less than 99 stamina too if You defile lightest heavy armor chest piece to Grace of Oyamatsumi (probably Unusual Armor Do)

Still it's not an armor that makes You killing everything in 1 hit, sorry.

The only two armor sets incorporation odachi are Date Shigezane's and General of Kingetsu's, and both of those give you mostly general conditional bonuses (which might be what you want, but that's conditional builds and not odachi builds), so instead I suggest just picking a decent set suited to your playstyle.

First, are you at the point when you can get ethereals you want on demand? If not, you might want to mix one of the above-mentioned odachi sets in for extras if it doesn't break something else.

Second, there are two ways I can imagine running an odachi. The first one is a tank, utilizing mostly high stance for offense and mid stance for crowd control, bosses, and very stable block. That's basically what Squerol described.

The second one is more of a general melee build that works with everything including odachi if you focus more on low and mid stance as you won't have too much toughness with it - but more damage. That's what I've settled on for all my weapons.
Armor: full Kingo. Final blow damage might not be useful for odachi, but after that this set has close combat damage, damage from behind, and close combat damage once again - best there is for a straightforward melee build. It is somewhat heavy for medium armor, you'll need either 19 or 20 stamina to wear it with B agility without rolling weight reduction. I think you can get 200 toughness on it, but that would require rolling toughness on everything.
Weapons: Grace of Amaterasu. Extra health never hurts, as does extra CTA even if you are not invested into spirit.

Thanks for your indepth answers , really appreciated!

I am currently at ~ 6+ divine, so still a long way before me. Currently I am utilizing charging bull for depleting KI, so Kingo might be a good choice afterall.

Tank would mean rerolling my stats, I have to think about that ( I have an change to attack strengh AA Odachi).

actually killing blow damage is super great on odachi since its super easy to break guards from most human enemies with some of the odachi skills. tatenashi and kingo armor is currently my setup and i can do up to 22k damage on a killing blow a around lv 166 with buffs.

Killing blow doesn't work with grapples though so you'd have to knock them down first.
