It's freaking folklore lmao. Are you trying to convince me now that satan and kappa don't actually exist? /shrug

狐 = fox
九尾 = fox spirit (greater)
妖狐 = fox spirit (general)

Going by your logic, 九尾 = nine tails. The 2 words only tells me whatever it is has something related to havig nine tails, it doesn't says anything about it being fox spirit or Greater fox spirit.

So your point? And i still have 0 ideas why you claim that wiki article is BS...?

Such is the nature of translations to other languages.
Are you not aware of how that functions?

九尾 translates to nine tail, but literally means a fox spirit with nine tails

Obviously I know that. My question is why is that wiki page considered BS to you?

because if they're going to talk about fox in japanese mythology, the article should be named "YOUKO"

if they're going to talk about foxes, the article should be named "FOX"

A LOT of the time wikis are grossly inaccurate, but doing a wide google search I came across more results for Onna-bugeisha than fits on one page

If they wanted to make an article about japanese female warrior, they should name the article...

wait for it....

"Japanese female warrior"
If you want to be Japanese so bad,.. wait, you can't do that because you're Zimbabwean.
Isn't that the very definition of a weeb?

And isn't that's why that english article is actually named "Kitsune" instead of "Fox" as you mentioned. If the japanese wanted to read up on "kitsune" they wouldn't type "fox" on their wiki now would they, typing "kitsune" on their own wiki shows a proper wiki about.. foxes.

You claim that english article is wrong, but it's meant for english readers, not the japanese. When non-japanese are interested in what "Kitsune" means, that page totally makes sense and serves it's purpose?

you have a point.
now that i think about it its the same situation as the word "HENTAI", when it should just be called "porn anime"

Well being Thai doesn't make you Japanese.
You just seem so sure of what you're saying it's strange, even though I've come across several sources that explain the Onna-bugeisha in detail.

Why does it being an authentic ♥♥♥ word or a translated one matter so much?

it triggers my autismo everytime people call rockman as megaman, balrog as vega, vega as bison, bison as balrog, and gouki as akuma

That's because that word is an online slang, it wasn't an actual word used for that by them. It just got used so much that it became a staple word. Totally different from that wikipedia issue.
