Still having trouble with the Ogress? Here's how to beat her.

Use water and earth talismans, or one of those, and a water or earth spirit, and inflict -both- statues on her. Water increases damage taken by the target by 20%, and Earth makes them take double Ki damage. And, she's weak to both elements, making it easy to put one of those statuses on her. But, that's not the real reason. If any enemy is inflicted with 2 Statuses at once, they become "Saturated," causing Yokai to stagger from -every- hit for the entire duration of both status ailments. You can literally wail on her and she can't do anything, if you manage to land both.

2 statuses at once AFAIK isn't Saturated, it's Discord.
But yeah this is a really useful thing to do.

Also works as Elemental weapon slash slash till 1 status then use guardian (of another element) with talisman or otherwise.

Wiki calls it 'saturated,' but it's the same thing. Ogress loses all stamina and can't move no matter how much ya wail on her for quite a while.

Saturated is the name for being afflicted with the status ailment from water, I'm pretty sure. Muddied for earth. Blustered for wind. Scorched for fire. I can't remember lightning... Shocked?

Well, wikis will be wikis. That's just not the name for it. The game calls it Discord or Confusion. There was an achievement (on PS4) for inflicting confusion on an enemy and you get it when you inflict two elemental statuses on an enemy getting that status effect.

2 elements = confusion. Look at Oda clan's bonus, it boost "confusion duration".

Electric is electrified. As mentioned, water status effect is saturated and 2+ is called confusion.

That's the one. The game does call it (confusion) Discord as well at one point or another, though, no? Or am I going crazy?

It might somewhere. The translation job is utterly terrible so I wouldn't be surprised if it had 10 different in game names that conflicted with each other.

Yeah, ran into the help tooltip for On Dash Attack effects today. Didn't translate well. I figured as much what it was but, yeah, not quite when you get hit by a dash attack.

The worst offender is either the evade/dash attacks or the firearms damage. Firearms damage is actually ALL ranged damage from magic to ninjutsu to energy blades to lightning bolts. Everything but lasers and breath.

Then you have "projectiles" which actually IS firearms, aka only bows, guns, and hand cannons. It's all a mess.
