The balls boss nearly seems to be designed to kill dark souls players (where you usually are safe when behind the early bosses), but his mid-range opions in front of him are very limited and telegraphed, so it's more of a waiting game, landing a hit here and there and keeping at mid range and in front as much as possible to avoid triggering the "sweep".
The bat lady on the other hand is extremely dangerous at mid and long range (the hard to dodge paralysis being something that can often mean death) but her close combat is surprisingly normal and short range (you need to learn about her grab, the rest is fairly easy to avoid if you can manage the big red demons and the cyclops that are everywhere right before the boss).
What I found helpful against her were spears, specifically the mid stance's heavy attack (thrust), but anything that outranges her arms and can land a thrust or similar attack without needing the high stance.
Depending on how it goes, remember that you have your living weapon, and the consumables that give amrita can be used to recharge it, so while you can't exactly use that strategy all the time it is a good way to deal a fairly large amount of damage without risking death too much.
You can also use the living weapon mode (without consumables) to give yourself a bit more time if you want to learn her moves as it lets you take a few more hits.
But yeah, the bosses in this game can be really frustrating and their high damage often means that you can die from a single combo if it fully lands, so as someone that already rage quit the game for months once I can only tell you "good luck", because the game is really worth it when you can finally access more and more content.
OP chance your title or your thread to mention Hino enma so people wont get confused when helping you, at least i did.
you need to learn her close combat attack pattern, there is an item u can use to cure paralysis, cant remember the name but it is called Anti-paralytic Needle if im not mistaken, if she ever paralyzed you, just use the item, it activate instantly, and u can dodge or move around safely again.
i hater her hahaha
yeah, that spin attack. when flying, when shooting the para attack
mmmm, if dash toward her when spinning? dont remember well what attacks can be dodged doing that
for example, there is an ice lady boss, when she throws her weapon, dodge toward her
mmmm, there is a magic to slower her. sloth talisman is the name? it can help u a lot
kill some graves, revenants, to get some gear. is the best way to farm gear in ur current NG
First of all: Level doesn't matter in this game. It all comes down to gears, passives and active skills you use
On particular matter, Hino Enma can be tricky with new player. However, there are few things can help u destroy her pretty easily:
- Ki Pulse and Ki pulse while dodging to clear Yokai Realms she puts on the floor.
- Katana user can use Kick or Sword Ki pretty early to destroy her Ki Pool, Once she is downed, you can perform Iai quickdraw or Morning Moon then back off (her wake up attack can kill you)
- Find Paralysis Onamori Charm in a chest, behind a dweller who throws bombs at u (you would see 1 Yoki, 1 one eyed oni sitting together while a dweller is on a upper platform, the chest is behind that dweller). Using Paralysis Charm would prevent you from 1 hit Paralysis (but still paralysis will build up if u keep getting hit).
First of all; Levels DO matter in this game.
Without levels (points in attributes), you can't get skills/spells through the Dojo.
Without enough stat investing, you can't get the armor bonuses from different armor, not to mention the set armor bonuses.
Without points put into various stats, you are severely gimped early game compared to someone who HAS put points into various stats.
Levels matter quite a bit in the first half of the game, but after that, they become a small bonus instead of making you a powerhouse.
For Hino-Enma, use either a fast weapon OR low stance (the quick stance) until you know what she does and when is a time to attack her. There is no need to clear the Yokai realm puddles 'cause the arena is pretty huge and you can just fight elsewhere, unless you're naturally Ki Pulsing them as you fight. It's more important to dodge her hits than to clear some pointless pools.
Also, the most important tip; put your Antiparalytic needles on your quick bar. If you get paralyzed, you'll have plenty of time to use one and dodge her attack that is surely to follow the paralyzation.
Oh and do NOT forget to use your Living Weapon, especially if you're using Kato. You can use minor soulstones (the ones that give you 100 Amrita) to charge your Guardian Spirit or you can just kill some enemies before the boss.
And do not get greedy. She has attacks that varies; sometimes she kicks you two times, next time she kicks you three times. Always be sure to not go near her until she has finished her combo. You can block the needles she throws at you when she's up in the air, but you can't block the Paralyzation blast (she yells before throwing it).
Keep your agility at B or A
Try different weapons, see what feels right. Imo, tonfa works best against her. Low stance strong attacks in particular. Sword actually is not great against her until you unlock more skills.
She’s one of the few bosses where her elemental weakness is actually useful. She’s weak against lightning.
When you go into LW watch out for her grab attack.
Be aware that stance affects dodge invulnerability frames. Low stance having the highest, high stance having the lowest.
I'm not exactly good enough to consistently land those even against normal enemies so I am a bit scared of trying it on a boss like that where it could spell near instant death to stand unprotected against a combo, but if it does work it might make mid stance swords a good candidate (combined with the kick "end combo" for bursting down her stamina).
