Game crashing on Startup

Every time I start the game up it crash. I can't play the game at all after the recent update.

I'm running windows 10 and I am not getting the same issue but when I play for like 10 to 15 minutes. it would crash.

I'm having the issue as well, it just started happening after updating to the latest (19.12.2) AMD drivers. Anyone else update their drivers recently?

Running a Vega 64.

I'm having this issue happening to me, my suspicion is the latest AMD 19.12.2 driver, never had this problem before this update. I hope dev will give us a fix, or I'll have to rollback the driver I guess. :(

Edit: I did rollback the driver back to version 19.12.1, now i got to play nioh no problem... AMD need to fix their driver RIP

Apparently the recent update causes a lot of trouble to AMD GPU. Though nVidia can enjoy crash free.

I haven't got a single crash since update. Windows 10, GTX1080, 436.02 driver, R4BE + i7-3930k @ 4.4Ghz

I'm having the same problem since updating to the 2020 adrenaline drivers. Soon as I click launch game it just crashes back to steam

re adrenalin 2020 crash. try this: get one driver from before, like 19.11.3. extract (7z) somewhere. find atidxx64.dll file there and copy paste it into Nioh folder where nioh.exe is.

I have nvidia gpu and its crashing on me... its gtx1060

Same here. I had a Radeon HD 7950 until this morning and the game ran well, except for those much-talked-about critical kill-crashes. Today, I upgraded to a Radeon RX580, thinking that could make these crashes disappear but now, the game won't even start at all. Crashes right past the initial settings screen :(

P.S.: confirmed – works with old driver version 19.12.1
