if you are feeling moonlit snow doesnt deal too much damage, try other moves like twin moon or tiger's blade. especially tiger's blade. its really good for applying status effects and depleting ki.
Odachi also has imperative strike and devastating rush, which is a charged thrust attack. Spear skills have a passive dmg bonus for thrust attacks and dat hoarse guardian spirit has dmg bonus for thrust attacks, and iirc, devastating rush can get a dmg bonus for that specific skill as a weapon trait.
Let's also not forget that odachi scales with stamina, meaning higher agility can be accomplished with heavier armors without sacrificing dmg skill points. One of the agonies of keeping A agility with other weapons is you are stuck with light armor only unless you sacrifice tons of dmg to dump points into stamina.
Odachi is also the featured weapon in the 7 misfortunes set, which is one of the best sets in the game, you can get RIDONKULOUS dmg using that set if done correctly.
There is also twin moons, and if you git gud at stance dancing, you can chain combos together for lots of dmg. If you throw the peacock guardian spirit into the mix, you can easily maintain all the stance-based buffs for some hefty performance enhancements.
Odachi is a great weapon, is very versatile and can be useful in any situation BUT imo it's the hardest weapon to master.
