Nioh 2 achievement so far (Spoiler alert)
I stuck with the first boss for 4 hours trying to figure out the dodge / burst counter timing. Then here comes the fruit.

This guy is the funniest boss fight I've ever encountered. He is real fun. You can juggle him to death.

Nice. I got my no damage runs against them as well. I sort of cheesed Matsunaga Hisahide with the axe. I did this thing where I just keep hammering him with the Axes high stance heavy attack. He`d just stand there trying to block it and I`d eventually break through his ki, setting him up for a grapple. I`d just do that for the entire fight. A lot of human enemies have this flaw. Every once in awhile he`d get bored and suddenly decide to murder me.

That first boss was a pain in the butt until I realized the game is trying to teach me how to Burst Counter. After that it became pretty simple. You can really lock him in place with that.

Edit: I just remembered I was using magic on that first boss fight. I guess it doesn`t count.
I`m such a scrub. I just love those Barrier talismans. If I remember right it is the same thing as a Kekkai talisman from the first game. Incredibly useful in Nioh 2. They allow you to pretty much ignore Yokai realm/Dark realm stuff. Even more useful if you are using heavy armor with C agility. They also affect any teammates you have with you. Pretty sweet if everyone has them and we take turns using them. Ki management becomes a non-issue.

They already nerfed Dark Realms to a point now I don't even feel a thing. As you can see in the video, I don't even need to flux that much. Burst Counter should recover a ton of Ki.
Also, yeah, Rumbling Earth, Bear's Bane of Axe deal a ton of Ki, AI doesn't like those moves. They often stand still "taking the throw" 4Head.
