Poop Turban - Sh*t Out of Luck?

My Horned Turban Kabuto did not come with the "When Surrounded" bonus that everyone is talking about. Since this is a one-time reward, am I f*cked out of an amazing helmet here?

when tempering most bonus roll -0.1% less than the maximum?

No, even on rerolls or drops most bonuses are short 0.1% from a rounded number for whatever reason, ethereals again for whatever reason when you reroll 3 stat at once via reforging will give you that extra 0.1%, imo it's not worth it and mostly a waste of money.

Well, I'm truly screwed. The second best helmet won't work because even if you get 200 STR/STA you won't get below 70% weight.

I just made it to Way of the Nioh and I really, really don't want to restart but... >_>

Are you referring to the monk helmet? Why not just reforge weight reduction on your heaviest pieces of gear? To my knowledge, even tatenashi tanks can get B agility with 200str/stam and weight reduction

I'm also confused by the use of "second best helmet". There's no such thing in Nioh, stop building your character around gear, this isn't DS. Build character around fun, then look for gear to maximize said fun.

BTW, Tatenashi set with weight reduction effects everywhere only needs 20 str and 27 sta for agility B.

ill save before to do the helmet quest, not cause is the best one, but yes to have it :)

Wrong and wrong.

The first helmet is ok since it's the only one with the bonus for surrounded enemies, but here is the thing even without that helmet I 1 combo almost any enemy including most red ones on WotN/Abyss, so the only time the extra damage is good is on bosses were you do not gain the surrounded bonus anyway, I would rather use my omnyo helmet to increase casting time, have MA to increase buff times and have buffs that I do not need to reapply during a boss battle.

Kame-wari only boost strong attacks which is good on LW builds while for every other build you might be better using other helmets.

Where are you getting the idea that Nioh has best (second best and so on) in slot from?
I seriously doubt that you just one day decided to call them that out of blue, there must be some sort of guide you follow or something? Care to share?

Hino enma helmet can give the greatest dmg boost but requires the target to be paralyzed, which is pretty easy to do with paralytic groundfire.

Coiled Snake Kabuto can give a good bonus too since poisoning enemies is pretty easy to do as well.

Black fox mask gives a small bonus to attack via magic scaling.

I forget the name, but there’s a helmet that gives a small spirit CTA which is very useful for LW builds.

Monk hood gives a massive boost to toughness.


To me, all of these helms are better than the poo turban since all of the above listed helms can benefit the player in a boss fight in some way, while the poo turban cannot. A bonus while surrounded only helps on trash mobs and how much dmg bonus do you really need against them..? The strong attack dmg one would be useful for Susano builds, but I’d never roll one of those so I’m not interested.
