The Hayabusa Ninja build comes with a giant damage bonus to the katana with 7 pieces, but that will lock you into Light Armor.

Any katana with a star stat for increased Iai or Flowing Shadow damage is pretty good.

Dragon Ninja seems to be the most popular, but if you want something Tankier, I liked the immortal swordsman build. It mixes God of War with Master swordsmans power.

You could even replace God of War with anything really, even crossed sickle set for super high attack from behind dmg
