How to fight/bring down flying bosses

How do you fight or bring down flying bosses like Sanada? I know you can bring down Saika with shurikens but I tried using them on Sanada whilst helping another player but they don't bring him down :(

Also, can you hit hovering bosses like Otani using close combat melee attacks or only some high hitting moves?

for the low hovering ones, I've used strong attack with a spear mid stance to do some damage. A lot of the time I just have to wait for them to do a dive attack and then smack em' :)

Thanks Adran. I found High stance attacks also seem to hit Otani which I shall fight again in Demon tonight in Sekigahara - not one of my fav missions b/c difficult to navigate around a battle field and I often miss or can't find the 3rd shrine.

For Hino-enma/Saika you can use shirikens/kunais, for Sanda you need you need good timing or you can just wait for him to beging the drop down attack and activate LW when he is over you, it will knock him down, Otani is only slightly above ground and can be hit by most/all attacks.

Will Devastation, Heavenly Chain and Blade Spin in mid stance hit Otani?

They should, Otani only barely hovers above ground, maybe some extremelly low height horizontal swings will miss but hardly any weapon has those.
