Seriously though. If you're doing very little damage, you're underleveled. 115 isn't a bad number.. But that says nothing about your stat allocation or skill.
Are you playing on your first playthough? If so, and you're doing little ticks of damage, plus being killed in 2-3 hits.. You're vastly underleveled.
already have a discussion ongoing. like what kiroshi mentioned u might needs to level or upgrade a little, because her hp is really low for a boss. ive beaten all ds 1,2,3 doesnt means nioh is the same game :/, not sure whats the logic behind mentioning them.
if all else fail, just use the headshot method.
It's my first playthrough, my stats could probably be allocated to something slightly better, but I don't think that will change much.
I will give it a few more tries over the next couple of days, but will probably just give up and move on to another game. There is no enjoyment when it gets this hard and repetitive. And I'm not turning to grinding my level up, that sholdn't be nessecary imo.
It's not just that DS is a different type of game.. it's that None of Dark Soul's possibilities exist in Nioh. Dodging, attack speeds, enemy difficulty, boss demands, the open world VS the mission based systems.. Stat importance, Gear importance, Skill importance and combos. They're both vastly different from each other. and not a good comparision.
Nioh is far from unfair. If you go into Nioh, playing it like dark souls.. You're going to hate it.
and as James said. there is no grinding needed.. But if you've failed previously. you'll be snowballing up. You can out-skill anything in Nioh, which will make up for the underleveled possibilies.
Most DkS vets that come to complain almost always say this, yet I can tackle her without too much effot on the highest difficulty and not get hit without relying on any buff or LW, she has also been killed at base level on the highest difficulty.
Just ... no. No it isn't. Is it punishing? Yes. Its probably closer to Bloodbourne than to Dark Souls and especially in that regard.
In fact it's probably easier than all these games once you understood the mechanics. Blocking for example is simply OP if you know which attacks you have to block. You should be able to get around without it but if you want to take a bit speed out of the fight just block the last hit of a combo.
I'd disagree. heavily. Dark Souls' evasion is spammy (doesn't cost enough stanima to even care. Most I-frames are much longer than Nioh's) And blocking comes down to the difference in stamina management.
If you block in Nioh, you're losing anything from 10 - 80% of your bar on an attack (not counting combos) In light weight-class.. You'll regenerate that stamina in about 2 seconds.. and you're at threat of Yokai not even giving a ♥♥♥♥, and having no rebounds.
Blocking in Dark Souls (and to a very unused degree, bloodborn with staggers) takes very little stamina, and costs more for your opponent to swing.
on higher difficulties.. Trading is impossible. You don't trade hits in Nioh, under any situation other than "I'm facerolling this level 70 mission.. at 300+"
If only, Nioh feels more similar to Bloodborne.
Is it worth? Yes.
I think you're confusing this game with Way Of The Samurai 3's one-hit-one-kill difficulty.
I tried the first level of NG+ as soon as I could reach it, and while I died a few times, I levelled up 10 times in one run.
This evens out eventually, but for a good while it's Christmas when it comes to rewards.
The DLC also seems built with the idea that people will have completed or at least gotten some ways into the first NG+; probably because of the timing when it was originally released on the PS4.
