(Spoilers) Wow "A meeting on the other shore" is the toughest mission yet and not in a good way (Spoilers)

After about 100+ deaths on this mission I finally beat it and I'm not even happy about it. I really really hate these kinds of boss battles especailly with a lock on system because you rearly feel in control of the fight. Way too much turtling is required to tackled this fight and it just slows the battle down to a crawl.

I even thought the 2v1 duel before this one was more managable at least I didn't have to worry about one hit kill projecties stabbing me in the back lol.

Things I hated:
-the staff throw sometimes would suck you in and you have to either take all of the hits or run out of stamina
-After long periods of playing the mission almost all of the elemental effects were invisible so I couldn't see any projectlies or ground traps lol.
-Terrible FPS dips in the game (everything before this was buttery 60fps)
-Pure Odachi build (and probably axe) is really bad for this fight because of the lack stamina and slow attacks
-I had to almost exclusively stick with low stance because of the quick hits, everything else would leave me too open and out of stamina.

The thing I liked:
-The lore significance of the battle was a cool touch (husband and wife).

Yeah this was more of a rant post because after that grueling battle I had to get some of that frustration off my chest lol.

Anyway for anyone else who has completed this mission, what did you think and how did you fare?

nobunaga and yuki onna? couldnt beat it last week. beat them on 1st try yesterday. while looking out for projectiles, sloth and weaken nobunaga armor. make him waste some ki. go in deplete ki. final blow.

sometimes you require a change of tactics...

Yeah I heard about the sloth trick but I'm just doing a pure odachi build with no magic so I had to do it the old fashion way lol.

I could see the fight being more enjoyable with a good framerate but this fight must not have been optimized because my game hasen't dip in framerate until this mission ;(

yea the framerate dips after several tries. thats why i had to use sloth.

if you wants to do the good old fashion way, u have to run around the edge, so there will be some space between yuki onna and oda, also some projectiles from yuki onna might not hit you at the same time, especially that ohko grapple.

oda will most certainly be the "chaser" and chase you, giving you tons of windows to poke him and down him first.

all is left is his waifu, and we will leave it to your imagination on many creatives way you can humiliate her ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yeah that is how I had to do it but I still really dislike this mission or any one that just throws 2 bosses at you at once. This fight felt like the ornstein and smough fight on NG++ but this was my first playthrough lol.

I just really hate wrestling with the camera making sure to keep both bosses in my sights so I don't het hit by any stray projectiles. All I can say is that I do not look forward to this mission in the future if I decide to do different builds or NG+.

I know I already did the one vs the two samurai and found it way easier to deal with because you didn't have to worry about projectiles off screen (besides the rock throw)

This one just wasn't fun to me.

Edit: If my character had more ki I could see the fight being a little more interesting but an mid odachi strike takes about 1/5 to 1/6 of my ki so I had to just turtle the whole fight in low stance in-order to avoid running out of ki.

Iga-Style was my hated mission. While I had problems with Meeting on Another Shore and Return of the Gourd, that mission was the first mission that pissed me off.

A little side but how do you guys deal with the green unblockable projectiles? Currently on restless spirits (which is way easier then this mission) and I'm fine until I get unblockable damage from the second boss. is there a trick to dodging this or does it just come down to a dps race.

These missions are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible. HOW do you complete these?! Honestly WTF! WHO THOUGHT THIS DIFFICULTY SPIKE WAS A GOOD IDEA? It goes from a difficult boss fight to impossible dual/triple/wave-based boss fights... WAT?
