Need suggestions for changing up armor set for spear build
Hello there,

I am about to start NG+, and at the moment I'm running 7 set pieces WotW set with lighting spear.
To set a goal for another playthrough I want to steer away from the lightning theme and have 2 or even 3 sets on me. I also have the charm that reduces set piece req by 1.

Trying to stick with medium armor, but open to all suggestions.

Thanks very much

There's a reason why every other revenant is wearing the Red Demon set, go with Enko (Or Kato if you just want more damage, I kinda liked Enko because it almost always knocks up human enemies for final blow damage) and some guardian spirit talismans to easily set people on fire, and you'll do plenty of damage. The Li clan works well with this to give you reasonable toughness for light armor.

But if you want to switch it up with something of a more optimized build, 4 piece General of Kigetsu + 3 piece Tatenashi w/ Yasakani is an armor set that will work with pretty much any weapon type of your choice. It's semi-high investment though, you'll have to farm for the armor pieces first and you'll need some stats invested into stamina to keep your agility at B and at least enough onmyo to use Carnage, Hermit and protection/steel talismans (Usually ends up being around 33 for me if I also want to get all the useful passives).

As for what spear, I hear Shima Sakon's spear is good (especially with Yasakani), but anything with good rolls will work.

A good all-round medium armor set is Kingo - with Yasakani Magatama you can use any weapons you want with it and get good straight-up damage boost from just the five armor pieces without occupying any weapon slots.
If you are not relying on blocking too much, consider Red Demon and Sarutobi Shinobi sets - you can get more damage out of those, especially if you add Agility Damage Bonus on top, and stay light on your feet.

Kingetsu/Tatenashi is more of a conditional build that doesn't work well once your buffs run out, and it pretty much locks you into one playstyle.

Lots of good suggestions, thanks everyone, the easiest way to mix up my build would be to farm 5 piece red demon set alongside the 5 piece WotW set.
