Todo, Oda or Date clan?
After unlocking teahouse and looking through all the clans bonuses, it seems to me Oda, Date and Todo is the most useful clan that will generally benefit every build on paper?

Oda gives you invulnerability when using LW.

Date give you longer duration when using LW

Todo give you bonus to life just by adding stamina! Seems useful everywhere you go!

Furata. Luck for life. Really though none of those are "best". All 3 of them are probably the most popular clans and they are all really effective. Just pick your prefernce.

If I change clan later, will my bonuses reset?
I beleive so but better to wait for someone to confirm. I'm never leaving furata so I will likely never know for sure.

Your bonuses reset to base level when switching clans, and will go up again over time. Switched to Furuta after learning that the Toyotomi bonuses are chances, not fixed additions.

Luck.

Gamo? The other one with luck but a better 2nd bonus.

Out of those 3 I'd go Todo because LW is cheese.

Todo got nerfed hard btw, so it isn't that amazing anymore. Should be noted that there are percentages behind a lot of things. So the ODA one means only 10% chance that you'll get nullified, which isn't that great.

The best, imo, are Furuta (increased Luck and other benefits), Tokugawa (only for the immortality build) and the final one I forgot the name of, but it increases the damage you deal by 10-15% if you are a max hp which is an insane number. Especially since, in the late game, everything will kill you in one hit anyway (at least if you're at A in Agility) so you're always at max HP.
The tonfa and kusarigama clans are also good fun, but only if you really specialize in those.

You are right, now I am more interested in Tokugawa and Furuta clan.

Not sure how much is a little luck and silver tongue going to help anyway. Tokugawa boost to estus flasks and second chance effect seems good too and useful for playstyles.

Date only useful when using living weapon.

It is important also to consider how long you will play this game, and what build ideas you have. The Luck clan is great if you want to farm a lot and get a lot of items and smithing texts. The damage clan is great for damage. Things like increased elixirs are pointless since how the end-game works (Way of the Nioh has insane damage, and Abyss doesn't allow elixirs).

The Second Chance effect is godlike though, by equipping two specific Guardian Spirits together and that Clan, you can get it to 100%. Meaning if you aren't in critical health, you won't die. Combined with a stat like "Critical Health: Auto Heal" means that you'll nearly never die anymore. Pretty broken.

Kikkawa is really useful. Damage reduction stacks well and 100% chance to remove all status ailments whenever you use an elixer (spectral salve/medicine also work) can be really helpful. I never tried it but I think you can use something like Carnage and then chug an elixer to have only the damage with no debuff

Meanwhile I've switched to a status ailment build with Yamanaka, where I actually want as many status ailments as possible to do more damage and take less.
