If I change clan later, will my bonuses reset?
More.
Luck.
Whoa Toyotomi ISN'T a fixed addition? DROPPED.
The best, imo, are Furuta (increased Luck and other benefits), Tokugawa (only for the immortality build) and the final one I forgot the name of, but it increases the damage you deal by 10-15% if you are a max hp which is an insane number. Especially since, in the late game, everything will kill you in one hit anyway (at least if you're at A in Agility) so you're always at max HP.
The tonfa and kusarigama clans are also good fun, but only if you really specialize in those.
You are right, now I am more interested in Tokugawa and Furuta clan.
Not sure how much is a little luck and silver tongue going to help anyway. Tokugawa boost to estus flasks and second chance effect seems good too and useful for playstyles.
Date only useful when using living weapon.
The Second Chance effect is godlike though, by equipping two specific Guardian Spirits together and that Clan, you can get it to 100%. Meaning if you aren't in critical health, you won't die. Combined with a stat like "Critical Health: Auto Heal" means that you'll nearly never die anymore. Pretty broken.
Meanwhile I've switched to a status ailment build with Yamanaka, where I actually want as many status ailments as possible to do more damage and take less.
