Nioh: Complete Edition
question about skills effecting other equipment
do skills like change to attack (skill) effect every weapon equipped or just the piece of equipment with the skill?
and if its only one piece of equipment how can i tell which effect multiple pieces of equipment and not just one

Most only effect the weapon it's equipped on with the only exceptions being equipment weight damage bonus, equipment lighness damage bonus (which is garbage), and agility bonus.

Mind explaining about tatenashi set's bonus? Does it increase damage the more weight we have or lesser I am confuse.
It would be nice if things that don't stack - said that they do not stack
But atm the only way to check is to have two different items and check your status page to see if they stack or not

PS If it does not say "lesser weight" it means more weight

Weight damage bonus scales up the more weight you have however, it's kind of obtuse in it's scaling. Going from 30.0 lbs to 30.1 lbs changes from a 4% to a 15% damage boost. 30.1lbs is the magical number. Theres also an innate equip weight damage bonus that also has the same type of scaling (just slightly weaker) and also needs the magical 30.1 lbs.

I should mention any kind of attack scalings on equipment that aren't weapons affect everything. If a set bonus has change to attack spirit A that effects all your weapons. It's only on a weapon where it's unique to itself. I don't actually know if tate's set bonus stacks with the normal affix equip weight damage bonus.

I should mention all 3 of those shared bonuses I mentioned only work if they are on the actively selected weapons. If it's your secondary ranged weapon that you don't have out then it will not give you the bonus. You pretty much always want your ranged weapon to either have equip weight bonus A or agility bonus A depending on your weight.

Another useful thing to know is that cta bonuses are seperate from innately scaling and don't conflct. Getting an odachi with cta str A doesn't take the str scaling from B+ to A, it's two seperate scalings, so it's the bonus from innate B+ in addition to cta A scaling. The strength of the scaling is also not the same with cta being about a full letter weaker (aka cta A is the same as innate B, or at least really close).

Completely obtuse mechanics but thats how it all works as far as I can tell.

wow theres so many things the game doesn't explain lol thanks for the responses again
So wait awanderingswordsman, are you saying that basically everything stacks with itself?
Maybe my info was outdated...
Uh, sorta? You aren't going to find something like change to attack (str) on an armor piece. The only gear it can be on is a weapon (or technically you can get a cta on an ethereal accessory but the highest I've seen is D-). Having cta (str) A on your secondary weapon does nothing at all for your primary weapon. If cta is on a weapon, it only effects the weapon it is on. Same with familiarity damage bonus and cca. Equip weight, lightness and agility bonuses effect both the active ranged and melee weapon. In this way you can put it on your active ranged weapon and get the bonus on your melee weapon but you can't put it on your secondary melee weapon and have it affect your primary melee weapon.

Set bonuses seem to always work and stack with everything else you might have but I can't say that's always true, just for cta as far as I'm aware. Technically cca works like equip weight bonus in that it affects your active weapons but it can't be on ranged weapons and has no affect on ranged weapons.

The same bonuses stack additively, but all the bonuses are multiplied together from what I've read.
