Kodama Blessing turns off in Twighlight?

I'm in what I think is the first available twighlight mission, the Blessed Village. Made it to the third shrine (didn't activate the second, though i cleared everything) and noticed I can't select any blessings despit having found all Kodama till this point. And I'm stuck at 3 elixers... Is this just how Twighlight works?

You can get more permanent elixirs from the ninja skills.

I started the mission with 8 or 9 elixers.

Do you have enough elixirs in your storage, because if you dont have any left, i think the 3 or whatever is the max you can get from the save points for free.

I thought the # of free ones increased with finding more kodamas, and also the ninja skill that increases elixers. Or do those things just increase the # we can carry?

Kodamas dont give more permanent elixirs, they just give better blessings so you have to find more elixirs yourself to fill your inventory.

When I look at the blessing screen I see all the kodamas I've collected but they've "turtle" like they do when you attack too close to one your about to collect. Very strange. Still wonder if it has to do with twighlight missions... like they're alseep or something.

afaik on twilight missions it counts all the kodama you've collected, it is out of 255 instead of what you collected in that region, so your bonuses are dependand on that x/255 number

I do not think Kodamas grant their blessings in twilight missions. Also, only three elixirs will automatically be"generated" at the shrines. In order to get your maximum number of elixirs every time you pray at a shrine you need to fill your stock by looting more elixirs than you are using.

I just beat the first playthrough and I have 278 elixirs in the "bank"^^ Having a weapon with heal on kill as well as some regeneration talismans from the onmyo magic skill tree helped a whole lot.
I definitely recommend using at least some source of healing other than the elixirs.

Just offer items in the Shrine area, besides the extra Amrita you'll get, often you will get multiples of Elixirs as gifts.

That's a good idea. Best place for white items in the early game.

that's wrong though. For every 5 found kodamas in an area you respawn/start with an additional free elixir. caps at 25 kodama, so 8 elixirs, from what I've seen so far. Didn't skill the ninjutsu elixir though.

and I didn't check in twilight missions. only noticed they show a bigger number next to those so GungZA is probably right.

That seems to be correct info, so it pays to find all the kodamas in the region. Makes it really easy, if you have an item with the kodama sense.

Umm fairly sure you get 1 more elixir for every 5 kodamas you find.

Do you guys really found more then 5 but still only get only 3 elixirs refill each time you run out and die? That is not how I rememember it from PS4 version...

Correct, except they are not "free". If you die with 4/8 elixirs those missing 4 will be taken from the stock you have accrued (which you can access from the bottom option in the starting area [where the smith etc. can be accessed as well] ).
If you're out of elixirs, you only get three.

No, Sewi. If you, for example, have found 20 kodama in the region and you die with 2 elixirs and have 0 elixirs in storage, you will come back with 7 elixirs. 3 base + 4 extra (1 extra per 5 kodama found).
