Nioh.exe has stopped working
Killing enemies has started crashing my game. On the Stage Memory of Death-Lilies the game has begun crashing so frequently that i can not complete the stage. Changing settings has done nothing to stop the crashes. Anyone else having this issue?

Did the crashes start after the latest patch?
This is what happened 2 my game.
I fixed the problem by changing shadow quality from "High" 2 "Standard."
According 2 the changelog of the patch they did some changes 2 the High shadow quality setting.
It seems sth. went wrong.

I had this issue before and after the patch, changing the settings has not helped either.

Same problem here and i had 0 crashes in 21 hours before the patch but putting the shadows on normal doesn't help as I always had them set that way.

same here. I crashed about 5 times on this level. getting pretty annoyed by what is otherwise an excellent game.

so i changed shadows to medium like mcc suggested, and i didn't crash once on "memories of death lillies", so it seems like that helped.

This started happening with me, also on Memories of Death-Lilies. Up until this point not a single crash or anything, but everytime I kill an already-spawned Yokai I crash without fail on the killing blow. Screen freezes with blood, amrita and body parts flying everywhere.

I doubt it matters but I'm using Kusarigama. I don't know, maybe that weapon just causes a crash on this specific stage, or something.

Maybe that is the case, as i use kusarigama as well...

I don't think the weapon has anything to do with it, as I've not been using the kusarigama, but have been crashing on this stage when killing certain enemies. Pretty frustrating.

Same problem here, also a kusarigama main. However, switching to the axe hasn't helped. I had crashes previously, but this stage is simply unbeatable, I can crash as early as on the first skinny guy and as far as on the second Yokai

Katana + Spear User here, having the same issues. Have probaly crashed some 20 odd times on different enemies at different times both in the main and the sub mission. Only progressed through brute force attempting it until the game decided to not crash. Headshots with all 3 weapons, Kills with both my weapons, all enemy types. There is no consistancy seemingly on what triggers it or when other than this map indeed has been the most crash heavy.

For me at least, this post by Tuco has done the trick. Putting the lanucher and the EXE in compatability mode for some unkown reason has prevented all the crashing in my case. Both in the mission Memory of Death-Lilies and a few others that started to have frequent issues after the recent patch.

I THINK I just solved my crashing on enemy kill issue. It only happened if I killed 2 specific types of enemies. I was able to replicate the crash over and over again until I used Medic/oyado's idea to manually disable AA (set it to "off") through nvidia control pannel:

I've re-run the same scenario at least 7+ times and I have yet to crash (knock on wood). Hope this can help someone else.

I was having the same issue with the Death-Lilies mission, it was the mission that I was able to replicate my crash with. I'm running windows 7 though so I did not consider trying his method, maybe I should if the above fix does not hold.

Update the nvidia lastest driver reset default! lower shadow to medium and no blur!

I could even turn up the settings after running compatibility mode, no crashes even on max settings. It does have the side effect of framerate loss on all settinigs though. Not crashing is a definate improvement though. Thanks for linking this post!
