Everyone's wearing the same dang armor!

I'm trying to fight revenants to get new, possibly better armor sets than my own, but literally everybody I meet is using at least part of the Warrior of the West armor set, and it's really annoying. xD Why not Youngblood, or Hero set? Those two look way cooler.

Because sets with set bonuses are really strong, especially early.

I'm always hoping for a cool new armor set, but I keep getting Warrior of the West and just upgrading it and reforging it lol

you will see plenty of red demon armor once you get to that fight. Eventually it gets a lot more random for some reason. Managed to find an odachi not listed in the wiki off one (although the wiki is massively out of date) with AA- strengh scaling innate.

lol was thinking the same thing till I picked up bunch of red demon froom reveants. But i sure hope there will be more variation soon.

I'm wearing full WotW armor that I refashioned to look like a totally different set cause I'm so sick of WotW armor, lol.

I was looking for the kingo armor, so I was told to go to the bridge fight with the guy with the giant axe, so I did. Lo and behold, I found the kingo set. Later on, I found the crimson demon set and so on. Basically, you're seeing the sets like that because you're looking at low level areas =P.

tell me about it, I was better off farming hanzo for the all the smithing texts since there is almost noone with the Iga Jonin set.

Lol I felt the same way too. I love to fight with revenants. At first I'm excited to see purple color set on a grave. But now I know that is a western warrior set or Yamabushi.

Glad I am on heavy armor path. Hero armor and Raging bull still my best choice for now. Looking to complete my Heike set. The kabuto looks super rad.

I've only seen one other person with swallow tail. Guess no one likes rare drops all the time.

Armor in this game is only really good for extra damage, just so you won't have to suffer those gamebreaking bosses for longer than necessary. I just tried to fight one of the bosses using 2 different sets of armor, Light and Heavy. Both sets are state of the art at my point in the game, they won't get any better. The boss i'm fighting has a guaranteed 3 hit combo if he lands the first hit. Wearing the light armor i get hit for 3900 from the first hit only, wearing heavy armor i get hit for 1700.

Now you could say that 1700 is not so bad and you can even survive that, but that's 1 hit of 3. I only have 4k hp.

Yeah I tried Light Armor but couldn't do it lol
Getting basically one-shotted then stunned so you end up taking the next hit was too much

But it is fun.

basically anything that has set bonuses are the most common, which is disappointing... For that reason I avoid the armor sets
i only fight revenats for glory now and clan bonuses

Because way of the warrior has broken early game raikiri and sword.
Swords are super op.
Sword/odachi is really all i see on revenants other than kursigama .. i see some dual swords like I use but yeah..
their movesets are just better lolol

thats another good point, though i wouldn't say swords are OP, maybe just early on as it's the first weapon that gets elemental types...
but yeah I see the same sword types alot too, I try to use the tonfas, axe and a hand cannon :)
again it's them damn set bounses

In DLC content there are loads of generic revenant with armor sets and most importantly they are greens. Majority is in Oshu region. I am supposed to farm Usami Nagimitsu but gotten most of the armor set instead. :(
