Obsidian Samurai: Is it ture?

I am very interested in the story of the Obsidian Samurai when I first beat him. Does anyone know Japanese history here? Can you tell me if this is true? Did Oda Nobunaga really had a black samurai as a personal guard?

Yasuke's original name isn't known, although some sources claim he was originally Yasufe of the Makua people, who were the largest ethnic group in Mozambique at the time. Another theory claims that he was a member of the Yao and his Japanese name came from adding the common suffix 'suke' to the name of his people. Whatever his story was before coming to Japan, it's currently lost to time and obscurity.

What we do know, is that Yasuke arrived in Japan in 1579 as a servant of Alessandro Valignano, a Jesuit who had been appointed as the inspector of the Christian missions of the Indies.
