Trade equipments?

I saw in the nioh reddit mega thread that there are traders, how do you give items to other players?

There isn't an actual way to trade. The only way to "give" gear to another player is to die somewhere and have them kill your revenant and hope they get the items they wanted.

So another player that joins my game won't be able to pick up stuff I drop from my inventory? That seems silly.

Correct. The only reason you can drop stuff as far as I can tell is to clear your inventory mid mission. This seemed silly to me until I did the final mission and got like 350 items before it was over. Had to drop like 100 items that run lol.
