The Abyss
Introduced with Bloodshed’s End is The Abyss, an infinite dungeon where you proceed through floors, kill bosses, and acquire loot. You don’t need Bloodshed’s End to access it, but you DO need all 3 DLCs to get the entire thing. Much like rifts/voids/dungeons in other loot games. However, Nioh’s variant has a few differences. This section will explain as much as possible.
Floor Difficulty
This is mostly based on observation, so the comparisons may not be 1:1. You need to clear the respective difficulties to access the floors.
Floor 1-5 correlates Way of the Samurai.
Floor 6-10 correlates to Way of the Strong.
Floor 11-15 correlates to Way of the Demon.
Floor 16-30 correlates to Way of the Wise.
Floor 31+ is Way of the Nioh. Ethereals begin appearing here, both as drops and defiled items.
thank you very much.
