Best weapons and stats to focus on?
So yeah starting screen asks you to choose 2 weapons to focus on and this effects your starting stats, does the weapons you choose have any effects in the long run or is it mostly what you get off the corpses at the start of the game to start you off?

Also guardian spirit? I heard you can get others but can you get the 2 you did not pick at the start of the game?

You start with the first you choose. I believe a corpse might have a one time drop for your second? The stater weapons you pick aren't superbly make or break unless your internal need to min-max is intense. And all starter Pokemon are obtainable eventually. But you will not see them for some time so some consideration is a good idea.

Also: 'Ey, man, keep seeing your name as I eventually go from game to game.

You can get the other 2 spirits later in the game.
The hawk one has luck. It is best IMO. Daiba-washi. Also has tons of drop rate up stuff. Luck is best stat, effects the changes of the gear you find being rarer. Without enough luck you will always get almost all purples. Luck is OP.

Eh, for a first timer I'd say Isonade is an amazing guardian spirit. Kato is also just the best for raw damage output. There's merit to all of them.

Best weapon and stats = whatever you want!

breaking the game = sloth talismen and weakness talismen

First weapon you choose you will encounter on first corpse right away, second will drop from corpse on some kind of small farm field shortly later. After that ALL drop (except some scripted in mission awards) will be YOLO RNG

Don't get attached to any one weapon, armor, guardian, accessory as you'll be changing each out pretty regularly. Putting stat points into and sticking with a weapon type is a good plan though, but that is less important early game.

Well what is your favorite weapon?

Also what stats are recommended for somebody starting out who has no idea what weapons they want to focus on?

It's generally accepted that the weapons are pretty much equal with the spear being a good first weapon for newbs because of the reach. When you level up, each stat has text to tell you which weapon it is good for.

It is also generally accepted that you will want at least 10 points in each stat with Spirit stat at 15 as you progress which will cover most Guardians through mid game. Adjust stats as you go based on what armor you're comfortable with and if you want increased stat points for more Ninjutsu/Omnyo. Also, don't forget about adding stat points for Ki.

Use whatever you wish realy, low stance is probably the best for beginners, you are faster, can stun lock and dodge easier.

I was getting frustrated when I first started, trying to make the best stat for the best focus ect,,,,turns out. my best character is the one I focused on getting all stats to 10.

I chose the bird - because of the drop rate and luck factor - put my first lvl into spirit to increase drop rate right away.

From there I simply find the weapons that have the best drop and use them. The only problem is spending your samuri points. I don't invest many of those until I chose the weapon that I am most comfortable with...I like the sickle and chained ball - to me best low stance and high stance can throw the ball a mile.

Anyway, get all stats to 10 - then by then you should have a good feel for the weapons.

You can respec everything as many times as you want (for a gold or glory cost) so don't think too hard about builds. Just make sure to get 20 magic and dex so you get the missions and unlock those full trees.

True on the 20 stat points however that at least mid-game point or later so not something to be concerned with early game.
