Another reason is that, to get to the end-game, requires a lot of grinding and repeating the same stages (like beating the game 5 times). I love Nioh, I did a few challenge runs on it and got pretty far in the Abyss and beat all settings, but I'm NOT doing all that again just on the PC.
They whine more than they play video games. The game is great, it just needs to have it's region issue fixed, it's a problem in every koei game because of how steam wants to operate.
Im really tired of the PC community, for shooters they're top percent for skill/community, but for everything non shooter to the exclusion of indy games the pc community falls flat. Alot of speed runners tend to be console and not pc.
I think this kind of proves with nioh and also toukiden. Both have/had thriving and skillful console communities.
Imagine if some game was ported to a console and how popular it would be if it had only KB/M support (then you were told by blindfolded fanbois to buy a keyboard and a mouse) and aside that it had only (stupidly) hardcoded few buttons (and tons of crude combinations to workaround controllers' lack of keys) on your controller with analog sticks/pad left unused (and unusable).
Hypothetically, you would have to buy those first as well =)
ps: For the record, not due to breaking them in hissyfits. The $12 clear plastic LED xbox controllers are trash and don't last long. I can just never bring myself to pay $40 for one of the good ones.
You're wrong. I've completed DS3 at SL1 with keyboard and mouse, and the lack of support is precisely why i won't buy Nioh, despite the fact that it looks like a good game of the genre.
So analogous to Guitar Hero where you needed to buy a different controller type?
At this point, I too really wish Nioh PC did have K/M support so we would stop seeing all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whining posts.
