Dual Core Black window fix
I had issues getting the game to start. I was only getting an unresponsive black window. I tried everything including a fresh install of windows 10 with no effect and then I remembered my old trusty tools for getting poorly coded games that don't work on dual cores to run.

I got the game running using a dll injector and some dll i've used on other badly-coded games that wouldn't run on dual cores in the past. I uploaded the files in case anyone wants them, virus scanners will potentially throw a fit since it's a dll injector.
http://s000.tinyupload.com/file_uploaded.php?file_id=27402909797574568581&del_id=16026212182358457239&gk=cisco

1. Run extreme injector
2. in the process box type nioh.exe
3. add EasyHook64.dll and dualcore.dll in this order(order is important)
4. go to settings and check the autoinject box
5. start the game and facepalm at the devs

You're welcome.

Edit: Devs, fix your game.

Me and a friend tired this method, it didn't work, we got the following error:
"System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Unable to find kernel32.dll in the specified process"

It does that to me sometimes too, not sure what causes it. trying again usualy does the trick.

We'l keep trying. It's not showing the error now but still getting the damn black screen. is this supposed to work ALL the time or just sometimes?

Supposed to work all the time if your only problem is having fewer than 4 cpu threads. If you're still getting a black screen then you've got other stuff causing issues. Other issues that seem to be going around are codec problems and windows 7 missing some stuff to run the game.

Windows shouldn't be the issue as my friend is running 8.1. As for codes we read that removing third party codecs or ruining the tweek tool to fix fdshow codecs would fix the issues, didn't. We'l keep trying to use this solution though, hopefully it will work. Also the person that directed me to this thread reports also having issues of this only working some of the times, not all the times

Mad at the devs because the game has an issue running on 2 cores? Sounds like you need to step into the modern age of computing. Don't ♥♥♥♥♥ at the devs because it can't run properly on your potato.

It's not the method that is not working, but the injector. It throws an exception and closes, thus not actually doing anything. I have the same error, alongside with "null" exception. Anybody knows how to solve those?

Thank you so much. This fixed my launcher issue on Win7.

I saw on a site that if you make the game launch more slowly, then the injector works. Basically enable a bunch of compatibility options, then start the injector, then Nioh

Whaddya mean more slowly?

Under certain circumstances it returns either 'missing kernel32' or just null. Kernel32.dll is actually present in system32 directory, tried to play around with it, nothing worked so far.

Did you load the dll in the right order? Cause i only got the errors when i loaded the DLL onto the injector in the wrong order

Oh, hell, i haven't thought it matters. Yea, with Easyhook64 before dualcore it worked. Thanks, men.

lol, my dual core is clocked at 4.4ghz and can reach 4.7ghz if i push it. It runs the game at 60fps on max 1080p settings which people with i5's and i7's seem to have issues with. The devs simple poorly coded the thing. If the game actually NEEDED 4 cores to run this fix wouldn't work.

hey i really appreciate this.Fix worked like a charm. PM me ygdrad if you want to have a look through my unclaimed humble codes and see if anything looks good
