I'm on Windows 10 also. So far I've only played about a total on 1 hour, can't even make it out of the London starting area! The game starts up and looks fine, runs fine, but then at random it will simply crash. Sometimes I'll get into the game and just move my character and crash, sometimes I'll get to move around and pick up an item then crash, sometimes I'll get to kill an enemy then crash. So frustrating!

I'm running windows 10 with the latest updates, my NVidia drivers are up to date too. I've tried playing the game in Borderless, Windowed, and Full screen. Tried dropping all the graphics setting to minimum, turning EVGA Precision off, turning Kaspersky off, playing in Big Picture Mode, Verifying game file integrity, using Geforce Experience to optimize the game (which I never use bc Geforce Exp is pretty pointless except for maintaining drivers, imo), and a few other things I can't remember I'm sure. Point is... I'm outa ideas. Every game I've thrown at my new setup has run buttery smooth at max settings, this is the first game that's given me trouble and after 5 hours of attempting to trouble shoot I'm about to throw in the towel sadly.

My setup is:
Hero IX Mobo
EVGA Geforce 1080 ti
Intel i7 7700k cpu, with Corsair H100i v2 liquid cooler
16gb of DDR4 ram (planning on upping to 32gb soon)

Windows10 here, with latest nvidia driver. So far, no issue (no crash, no hang) after about 6 hours of gameplay.

First time I booted up the game it ran fine for about 15 minutes, but then crashed and now if I'm lucky I can play for 5 minutes before it crashes.

Windows 7 also will crash on time from time. It can crash on startup screen, it can crash on any place. No reason why it will crash. Oly hope can play continue before you save at next point!!!

So I finally got Nioh to work. Turns out Nioh doesn't like it when you overclock a GTX 1080 ti, or so it seems. I turned on the Default Profile I have saved in EVGA Precision to set the card back to not being overclocked, then went to the link below and downloaded Visual C++ for 2017 and re-installed it.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

I know I already had Visual C++ for 2017 installed, but I saw in another post someone had suggested to try to reinstall this so I did. Anyway, after doing these steps I was finally able to play Nioh for about 3 hours with 0 crashes. Hopefully it keeps going good.

Another strange thing I found was that if I tried to use FRAPS Nioh would refuse to reconize that I had a controller connected, which is just odd.

I was really hoping this would fix the issue I've been having with Nioh for a week now but just my luck it didnt do a thing

same here, been getting many crashes the past 2 days and reinstalled Visual C++ 2017 yesterday and it worked fine for awhile, but i'm still getting crashes again now.

You people need to understand that it's the game code that is broken, it's not your machines.
For example my game crashes 100% of the time when the final boss in the Queen Eyes mission summons his eyes. I have to play borderless or windowed to complete that mission.
They need to patch this crap.

Have the same problems. The first 10 hours I had zero crashes but suddenly I can't play for longer than 20 minutes without any freezes (in the silver mine level). The biggest problem is I can't even exit the game because my whole computer freezes and it almost crashed my windows installation when I was rebooting afterwards. It's a real shame because the game seems extremely fun.
