All the walkthroughs say he doesn't appear until you get 3 red room keys.
Got you, thank you. I ended up quitting the game because the puzzles weren't for me. But thanks for showing me that my trick wouldn't have worked in the end haha.
I finally was able to hear the loud BANG The Breather makes or the cue to alert the player he's coming. Never heard it since I purchased the game. It's the same with the door knob rattle. I only heard it ONE time since playing WTTG. And I've put in just about close to 15hrs.
I would have failed WTTG and my chances to beat the game and get any achievements if I did not risk it all. What I mean by this, is when I heard the wind blow and saw the curtains blow in, I immediately ran to the door; and what do I see? The Breather. I'm so confused about the games mechanics and what people have said about the cues and such. The game is set on a RNG and how many times you've played it. If you've played it enough, the game gives you the victory and the few extra achievements...if you can beat it. But at this point the game goes easy on you.
Honestly, the only game that does RNG very well in a game like WTTG and Scrutinized etc, and better than WTTG in my opinion; is the FNAF games.
I would want to win more times than losing. I want to feel I am hearing the cues while looking for keys, while hacking, and not having it turn out to be a complete mess because I died from RNG because what I read about the Location Servives, was not correct. I thought both characters in WTTG have their own cues. We're wrong?
Do not trust the curtains. It can mean The Breather is coming, or the Kidnapper is near you (as said by others). I read by someone that The Breather came without the sound cue and killed him. This is unacceptable.
The Location Services does not mean the Kidnapper is tracking you. It can mean The Breather is RIGHT behind you and there is nothing you can do about it sadly.
I read off another thread that this person has played WTTG since 2017 or something and still has not beaten it. That's sad. That's not right. All because of the RNG.
In my previous game, I was not HACKED at all where I ended up getting two or three achievements, beating it under seven days; I can hear The Breather's cue of the slamming sound and the Location Services working like its suppose to.
The RNG can be fine in this game if the game was programmed a bit different. The cues were assigned to the character specific character rather than confusing the player, the Location Services worked only for the Kidnapper and not The Breather, the sound cues were a bit louder than the crickets and the car alarm (which by the way, what is with that car alarm that we all can hear in the back ground? Crickets alone is good enough). Keys can be in different websites. The Kidnapper and The Breather can stay how they are as it goes for RNG. Like the Kidnapper is more active than The Breather, or The Breather is more active than the Kidnapper or both at the same time; that is fine. A bit of tweaks to this game will make it enjoyable.
For all you who have not beaten the game, just keep trying. That is what the devs what you to do so you do not think and feel you wasted your money. But really without the RNG like it is, if it was tweaked, it would still be enjoyable, and enjoy it more too. I would play more of it.
Appreciate the enthusiasm man, but I don't like time limits on my games so I don't think I'll be playing it.
