Hello everyone,

It’s been a little while since my last update, and I’ve been hard at work on Roads of Veyrath, the upcoming free expansion for Blood Without a Name.

Again, Roads of Veyrath lets you take Darian beyond the visual-novel format and into a 2.5D adventure through his domain and the capital. Players will explore Veyrath’s roads, vineyards, towns, estates, Sunmere and Rivenne, take on quests, meet its people, and fight in real time. The expansion will be free for everyone who owns the base game.

Combat is a major focus. I want every fight to be satisfying, readable, and varied, something players enjoy learning, not a repetitive obstacle. I’ve been refining Darian’s attacks and defenses, enemy responses, special attacks, hit reactions, and the visual cues that make combat feel fair.

One of the biggest challenges has been turning the story into quests and playable moments. That work is going well. I’m bringing conversations, exploration, and combat together into a journey through the world of Veyrath, not just a sequence of dialogue scenes.

I’m currently targeting a release around October 27, with early November as the latest window I’m aiming for. That’s a target, not a locked date, and I’ll keep you updated as development continues.

I’m also aiming to have the Steam store page live by the end of this week or next week. I’ll share it as soon as it’s up.

Thank you for your patience and support. I’m excited to keep building Roads of Veyrath with you!

We’re excited to announce Roads of Veyrath, a free expansion for Blood Without a Name, planned for release in Q4 2026.

This expansion will offer a new way to experience Veyrath and the wider Kingdom of Rivenne. Instead of following Darian’s story only through the visual-novel format, you’ll step into the role of Darian Veyrath and explore his world directly.

Veyrath is Darian’s governing domain, but it is only one part of the world. You’ll begin among its roads, vineyards, towns, districts, and estates, then travel outward through Sunmere and eventually reach Vallorne, the capital of Rivenne, as the story develops.

• Explore Veyrath and the wider roads of Sunmere and Rivenne.

• Travel through towns, vineyards, districts, estates, and capital streets.

• Take on quests and uncover local stories.

• Speak with characters through voiced encounters.

• Fight and defend yourself through real-time combat.

• Visit familiar places from a new perspective while discovering new locations beyond Veyrath.

• Make choices while moving through a living, reactive world.

• Experience an expansion planned to be comparable in length to the visual novel, and potentially longer.

The original visual novel remains complete. From this point forward, the base game will receive updates primarily for bug fixes, polish, compatibility, and other necessary improvements.

Roads of Veyrath will be the next major content update.

If you own Blood Without a Name, you will receive Roads of Veyrath at no additional cost.

This expansion is our thank-you to everyone who has bought, played, reviewed, discussed, and supported the game. Your feedback and encouragement made it possible for us to build Veyrath—and now Rivenne—in a new way.

A Steam store page for the expansion is expected to appear within the next month or two. More details will be shared as development continues.

Thank you for joining us on the roads ahead.
