Commuters, OMG!
I know that pathfinding can be a tricky business in games, but really! When I check on commuter issues in this game, I find RED LINES going from a hab ACROSS THE STREET to a job. I even recycled an air filter because the commute from the building the worker was living in to the job site was red and the buildings were TOUCHING. These people cannot step out of hover station, turn left, walk two tunnel sections, turn left again, walk one tunnel section and enter their job site without it being a bad commute! If the straight line between home and work intersects a building or an empty space, they get upset, even if there is a perfectly good tunnel one square away!
Okay, rant over. But rilly.

All structures that require labor need to be connected by tube, even if it is 'next door'.
Other than that, hover craft platforms have a limited capacity..... usually this will be the problem in my games, also newer structures often have commuting issues but that usually fixes itself over time.... unless there is insufficient hover craft platforms.

One thing that helps a lot, is to use the Commute Overlay to get an idea where your colonists have it the worst. Then you can either build another hovercar platform, or a new skyscraper.

No, just the hovercraft platform.

you are better off keeping all habitation close together so you don't have to build morale structures and hospitals all over the map. 1 hospital in the centre of a mass of habitation will cure ALL plague, even way accross over the other side of the map.... all those far away workers are forced to return home to that habitation, and be in range of your hospital!
