Sandbox mode suggestion - victory conditon

I haven't tried the sandbox mode yet, but I see it has several customization options so that you can sort of create your own scenario.

I would love to see some sort of option for victory conditions - i.e. reach a certain population and/or other conditions that might be appropriate (build a megastructure?).

I suspect most are happy with an endless sandbox, but I like having some overall goal to work towards. I realize the campaign allows for that but the campaign is also very step by step directed so I think it would be nice to work towards a goal your own way.
