PC Update 3 Details - 1st-Person Camera & Online Fixes

Oct 8

🏁 A new update for MXGP 26 is out tomorrow on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Steam will download it automatically. If it doesn't appear, restart Steam. We also took MXGP 26 to the Motocross of Nations 2026, where we sat down with Romain, Lead Producer at Artefacts Studio, to talk about this update and what's being looked into for November. And there's a giveaway too! 🎁

🎥 New: 1st-Person Camera Fix

The 1st-person camera now points forward when you scrub and whip, instead of sideways.

🛠️ Patch Notes

Every fix applies to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S unless marked otherwise.

Online experience is generally smoother when seeing other riders
Tweaked the 1st person camera when doing scrubs and whip. Now the camera points forward instead of sideways
Fixed known crashes during Online games
Fixed crash linked to creating multiple profiles in workshop too quickly
Times that were made offline are now uploaded each time the game is started (if the console is connected to the internet before launching the game)
Fixed championship progression bug that reloaded the previous GP
Tweaked the ruts tracking
Fixed AI going off track in Arnhem
Fixed AI behavior in slopes in Foxhills
Fixed missing flyby at the start of Johannesburg and Foxhills
Fixed crash that could occur when going in Player Progression
Deactivated a driving aid (Speed Regulation Assist) that blocked the bike acceleration (PS5 & Xbox only)
Fixed sound issue from other bikes in replay and online (PC only)

The PC throttle fix from Monday 5 October is also live.

🔎 Being Looked Into for November

Nothing here is confirmed yet. Every change is tested first so it doesn't break anything else, and we'll share confirmed details closer to the November update.

Calmer suspension physics coming out of ruts, less bouncing
Removable handguards
Replay and spectator-mode animations

🎙️ Our MXoN Interview with Artefacts Studio

At the Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, Alex VII sat down with Romain, Lead Producer at Artefacts Studio, to go through the patches and the November plans. In the same video, we try to recreate Lucas Coenen's win in the rain, check out the Fox gear from the Fox Holeshot Edition, and catch the bikes testing track-side.

As Romain put it: "Please keep giving us feedback."

🎁 Giveaway: 2 Signed Copies

We're giving away two signed copies of MXGP 26: one signed by FMX legend Axell Hodges (thanks, Monster Energy!) and one signed by the Équipe de France. The giveaway runs on Instagram and ends on 29 October.

PC Update 2 Details - Bike Acceleration Fix

Oct 5

A new PC update for MXGP 26 is now live on Steam. Steam will download it automatically. If it doesn't appear, restart Steam.

🛠️ What's Fixed?

Bikes can accelerate again: players who had the bug where bikes weren't able to accelerate in The Compound, Grand Prix and Championship can ride again in those game modes.

🚧 Server Maintenance

We're carrying out a short maintenance on the online server tomorrow, Tuesday 6 October, at 9:00 CEST (8:00 BST · 3:00 EDT · 0:00 PDT). Online play will be unavailable for around 10 minutes.

➡️ What's Next?

Another update arrives for both PC and console this Friday, with various fixes. It also brings the PC and console builds in sync, as the PC version was previously behind.

Game feels good at some points but rough overall. The ruts to the ice feeling cause it to feel janky. Sometime you come out of the rut clean and sometimes you launch sideways off track into a porta-potty. Lack of career mode and rider customization cause the game to have no depth. In is current state i cant recommend this for 50 bucks.

Bike handling has almost no bite. I got no idea what the streamers were on when having early access. it should be snappy and sharp like bikes are in real life, not like a heavy boat on land with no brakes. cant even drag the rear brake and when it does it just whips the tail end and i play with no assist on. Traction has little to no feedback, Engines sound like there having a stroke on any terrain, its hard to tell when its spinning or actually at the limiter and rev limiters aren't even close to sounding right. A Amazon 140cc pit bike revs harder then the 450cc bikes in game. Hell my Tenere 700 which is twice the weight of a 450 race bike feels light and aggressive handling compared to these bikes in game. you guys have something here but it feels like you didnt have any real reference. just keep working at it because us riders are dying for a game and this one has a chance, just need to keep refining it or it will die off like the rest of this series did. I am hoping it turns around. for now i'll go back to the 2019 mxgp and mxbikes.

This game was a huge let down. Maybe because im expecting to much from it?
To start theres no career mode, theres mxgp which is just quick races and a championship... your telling me they couldnt put in like a little road to championship type thing?? I mean thats just lazy.

Next is the track scaling. Its awful. Coming from mx-bikes, and the obvious mx vs atv games this will feel super tight and almost unracable. The tracks are so skinny, the jumps are all small, they had to make the gears super short so you HAVE to shift into third to do stuff.

The most important of many, the god awful physics. I dont care if they feel real or feel not. They dont feel anything like your riding a dirtbike. Im sorry but 15 years ago you could double sand rollers in mx vs atv, this game you stand still like a rock wether you stand or sit and just glide over them. No movement feels natural the game just feels gross.

Dont waste your money.

absolute worst MXGP game ever

Please stop making these types of games, Nacon, you just don't have what it takes. You ought to focus on literally anything else, but stay away from making video games. The absolute worst MXGP game ever. How on earth is this worse than the 2024 version? It is literally unreal and beyond belief that anyone could make a game worse than its predecessor. It’s the last time I buy anything from this company (I’ve never been happier to request a refund) and the last time I listen to those absolute joke of con...
