Next Fest is almost here!

Hi everyone!

I'm Tori, solo indie dev behind The Plant Shop and I'm excited to announce its participation in Steam Next Fest!

Try the FREE Demo of The Plant Shop, a cozy horror game where you craft plants for late-night customers while you manage a small plant shop. Expand your plant collection, upgrade your shop & grow your business.

The demo has over 20.000 downloads and 98% positive rating!! Thanks everyone for giving it a try!!

Demo (Duration: 10-15 min)

The demo includes the first day of the Story Mode (Endless & Relaxed Mode will be available in the full game!) where you play as Silvia, a 26 years old girl who is tired of her boring corporate day job and opens a late-night small plant shop to pursue her dreams. Some features are:

Craft plants: Create beatiful flowers and plants combining items!
Serve customers: Listen to what customers say and don't mess up the orders!
Psychological Terror: Some customers talks about a curse - is it real or just an old legend?
Easter Egg (tip: check the vending machine outside the shop)

The Plant Shop

I liked it but..

The lines and pacing are pretty much verbatim to the ones in The Boba Tea Shop. I played it too much to want to have a copy and paste of that game. This has good potential, but a little more originality in the writing department would be appreciated, so I don't feel like I'm playing the same game for the tenth time. Good luck!...

The Boba Teashop

The Plant Shop is a rip-off of last year's game The Boba Teashop. The plot, characters, scenes, dialogue, and gameplay are exactly the same. It reminds me of the joke: 'Can I copy your homework? Sure, just don't make it too obvious.' Guys, if you're going to make games inspired by someone else's work, create your own thing instead of blatantly retelling other people's stories.

This was super enjoyable, can't wait to see more.

As the title says, I had a splendid time with this, can't wait for more. Does anyone have any recommendations of games like this? I remember a Nextfest that had something similar with a burger joint but I never wishlisted it.
