I do however know that if you only use Unity for minor additions, like stabilising your game by just compiling it through unity or adding simple lighting additions that won't count for paying unity anything for a license for your game. Though this might have changed now.
IF you decide to contact Unity about this and ask exactly what can and cant be used without paying for license in SGB let us know, it might help others later down the line.
