Pinball FX VR - Important Information

7:27am

Dear Players,

We’re currently experiencing a technical issue affecting DLC recognition in the game. While the base game and three included tables - Pinball Noir, Sky Pirates: Treasure of the Clouds, Curse of the Mummy - should work properly, some other purchased DLCs may be temporarily unavailable.

Our team is actively working on a fix as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue.

Launch Content

The base game will cost $9.99 and will include 3 Zen Originals (Sky Pirates: Treasures of the Clouds, Pinball Noir, and Curse of the Mummy), matching the offer available on Meta Quest.

Additional tables will be available as separate add-on purchases, with pricing aligned with the Meta version.

All 42 tables currently available in Pinball FX VR on Meta Quest are planned to be available at launch, and we have many more tables planned for the future.

Table Availability and Offers

With the release of multiple tables that are already available in Pinball FX, we will also introduce “Complete Bundles”. These dynamic bundles will provide a 40% discount for players who own the Pinball FX version of the tables. These are not timed offers and are here to stay for a long time.

Unfortunately, transfers from Meta Quest to Steam Frame will not be possible. Cross-platform transfer is something we are not allowed to offer, since different stores are operated by different service providers separately. We'd like this not to be the case as well!

Performance & Features

In terms of visuals, the game is targeting an experience similar to the Meta Quest 3 version of Pinball FX VR. Similar to Meta Quest, tables will use our trusted Normal physics, which is praised by our community to this day.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to include the Mixed Reality feature at launch.

More details, such as the release date, will be shared soon!

I think its kind of unfair to have to repurchase my favorite tables that I already own in flat pinball FX, however the game works really well and this is the closest I will ever come to owning a pinball table. For some reason i had trouble installing it on my pc, but it installed and runs perfectly well natively on the steam frame.
Theres no finger tracking which doesnt affect gameplay, just means I cant make the hand gestures I want to make when I lose. Unlockable avatar hands would be cool, right now we are stuck with the default ghostly blue hands as far as I can tell.
The palm menu can be a little awkward to control.
I would love to see some more interactibility within the hub. the few interactables that exist like spinning the reward wheel, or picking up drinks are very cool and immersive. i'd like more of that

Dynamic Bundles?

I own a bunch of Pinball FX tables but I'm not seeing these "dynamic bundles" with 40% discounts. When will they be available?

Can’t wait for this!

Gotta say Zen between the idea of playing your tables (and Williams’!) wirelessly anywhere on the Frame is very exciting! Good luck to ya! Ps. please do a Switch 2 version of FX and Midnight :) take your time there though. It’s all about the Frame and it’s flippin brilliant capabilities....

Regarding the claim of only supporting steam fream hardware

Hi dev, by mentioning only steam fream hardware is supported you mean the game will not work with other pcvr headsets using steamvr or openxr and is only able to work for steam frame in standalone mode not streaming mode? If this is the case do you have any plans to port the game to native pcvr in the future? Thanks....
