just captured a brigantine repaired restocked it made it ready to fight but wepions wont fire missles will need some help

The Pirate M2 Brigantine does not have any missile turrets. So this ship (belonging to the player) will not fire any missile on its own (ok aside from mosquitos as part of the missile defense software). If you fly him yourself you can fire compatible missiles with the button [l] at default.

On ships that belong to NPC-faction which missile is fired when is ruled by scripts that are not available for ships belonging to the player (as far as I know.)
is a brigantine worth using anyway? seems more like a trophy to re at the hq for the blueprints collection and otherwise sell or recycle.
every ship i capture i fly then i buy a new one and add the one im retireing to the collection
what ever the problem i started to play game and didnt have any problems
hm might be just me but i'm looking for the best ultility ship within a ship class.

so for m3 a mix of high firepower and speed. cargo bay not necessarily since i could have it docked on a ship and launch it when needed.

m6 has to be the hyperion and in fl the maru because of speed,cargo,firepower,shielding, 2 hangars. nothing beats those really.

for m4 i want a speedy one with m cargo and good size. i mostly use this ship for semi automatic transport personel missions. swap to the ship, pick up people and just swap back to whatever ship you used before and tell it to dock at the destination.
you'll get "missioned completed" in no time at all

i found the mako to fit this role perfectly. for tc it's mako raider or vanguard if raider isn't available for me but for fl the enhanced mako is even better with 300 something m/s.

for m5 the fastest raider variant so it can explore the universe early game with explore software.

for m7 it has to be a ship with ibl in the front to kill capital ships.

for tm in tc it's the chokaro for it's same speed as boa and +1 200mj shield. cargo size is very large as well.
in fl the caravel is unbeatable.

on tl in tc it's the elefant for quick station missions and good hangar size and the mammoth for complex building. could take a lifter from terran space but i never really bother with that.

m1 and m2 i don't really use because a m7 usually has me covered on anti capital ship weaponry. but if i have to pick a m2 it might be the K because of it's flat size and the ability to fire psp.

on m7m it's mostly about speed so the cobra i guess? i take anything that fires pods really.

The Brigantine is the only M2 that can launch boarding pods, but I've found that it's actually really bad at boarding because the cooldown means it cannot send them all at the same time, a handicap that M7Ms lack.

It can also mount Plasma Beam Cannons if you can get hold of them. It's also only armed with turrets and no main battery, so you won't be able to both fly and shoot at the same time.
