Hello everyone!

We have officially hit 100 copies sold!, and we want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you!

While this might seem small compared to larger milestones, it means the absolute world to us as we start our game development journey on Steam. We had fairly low expectations for Virtual Perspective, so it's great to see the game doing so well!

What's Next?

In terms of development, we will soon push out a small update for Virtual Perspective, focused on fixing localisation issues and addressing some Steam Deck controller bugs.

Just to clarify, the game is not 100% controller-compatible; the menus currently require a mouse or the Steam Deck touchscreen to navigate. It is something that we will try to address in a future patch.

Virtual Perspective

Level selector and misc.

The main game needs level selector, I tried picking all the fragments, but forgot few... after finishing the the main game, you start at the level 1 again. Previous level option in menu does nothing, and there is no next level option, you have to replay entire campaign to collect the few that I forgot just to get some secret level? The level selector could ideally also show which fragments I missed, so I don't have to reload the level to check. The Trials have level selector, but those levels don't spawn ...

Virtual Perspective - 0.3.1 Hotfix

Hello,

Quick hotfix for: 0.3.1

Fixed

Level 18 - Fixed an issue where a Killwall was placed under the stairwell mesh, unintentionally destroying the Power Cell even when its path was clear.
Level 20 - Fixed the teleporters breaking when you place a Power Cell back through it.

That concludes this patch. If you've encountered any bugs, please do let us know.

Virtual Perspective is out now, and to celebrate we're launching with a 10% discount!

Here’s what to expect from the game:

20 Levels to Complete - With a total of 4 sectors (5 levels each) and variety of puzzles.
2 Secret Levels - Can enter these levels once you've beaten the game and collected all Data Fragments.
Time Trials - A mode that's specifically for Speed Runners, how fast can you complete each level?

The Development of Virtual Perspective

Developing this game has been a real journey. Designing levels that feel balanced, so it's not too easy, or not too hard - turned out to be our toughest challenge. Creating new mechanics also added complexity. Even when thoroughly thought through, we still ran into unintended behaviour and bugs that were difficult to squash.

This was also our first time shipping a game on Steam, and it's been a huge learning experience for us.

Thank you to everyone who wishlisted and followed along. We're excited to keep growing the Coreplix community! Our next project is already in development, and we can't wait to share more.

Future Plans

We are monitoring game sales to determine if we will develop major updates, such as adding new sectors, mechanics, or features. While these take time, our immediate priority is focusing on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

The first planned feature is a Level Select Menu. This can be accessible either in the Main Menu or in the Pause Menu. The second planned feature is adding Steam Leader boards.

Cant play the game anymore

Played this game for about 4 hours over multiple sessions and was having a greta time but now everytime I load the game and press play im sent back to the home screen. Pressing play just boots me back like ive just opened the game every time i press it and can no longer play! PLEASE fix this! Ive triued verifying files, untinstalling and reinstalling and nothning!...

Saw a YT video, looked like a neat little puzzle game, saw it was only $4, then saw you've only sold like 100 copies, so I bought it to help out, and I can't even play it because my first games were flight sims. ¬_¬

Does not start in Linux with Proton 9.0-4

It is fun, but in all honesty, I feel like that free Digipen game "Perspective" handles this idea in a better/more fun way. I uploaded my solutions in case it helps you catch anything unintended. I wonder if there would be more puzzle potential if the glowing orb would stick to the walls on those rotating cylinders? IDK Good luck with the rets of devel...

This game kind of feels like you're playing someone's head canon version of solo laser tag. Instead of shooting people though, you are trying to shoot a target being placed on the wall. It's like a virtual game of Hide and Seek where someone shuffles the walls around, throws out a bunch of No-No zones with triggers and dares you to find your way.

Virtual Perspective is where you literally use your perspective to guide an orb through a maze of moving obstacles. The guards can be a bit annoying since you think you've found a way to cheat them and then they reach out into space and slap you. The puzzles are fun and mostly relaxing to work your way through. I do wish there were a bit more puzzles to play through before the end but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy solving them.

This is a short but sweet puzzle game for the right price, and it's the right level of difficulty for me to enjoy at least when it comes to spatial puzzles.
