How do I download and install the 64 bit version of FM 2017?

The longer version numbers are:-

Game created on version 17.0.1b889157
Version now is 17.0.2b893160 (m.e v1688)

I hope that is what you require.

889157 is the Win 64-bit version of 17.0.1, so when you first got the game and created the save, it was already running x64. Thanks.

Many tanks for your prompt and conclusive action.

Now I am really puzzled as to why the files now in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_482730\depot_482732\* did not exist previously but appeared when I peformed the described actions. I am also puzzled as to why FM 2017 now runs considerably faster than before?

Please note that I am not asking you to respond to my puzzlement because I am now entirely happy that everything is now working well. I also recognise that,as I am a Microsoft Insider testing beta versions of Windows 10, then I frequently need to rebuild my system. Accordingly. I realise that it is possible that my actions have corrupted the steamapps folders.

In conclusion, many thanks for your very kind assistance and for correcting my misunderstanding.

Well we of course would also be interested to know why there has been an increase in speed within your game as logically other than the fixes between 17.0.1 and 17.0.2 which really shouldn't have made that much difference, the only other change is what you've done yourself. We'll see if we can reproduce what happened in your experience internally - there may well have been a problem with the initial install.

Many thanks nbrocky. I too suspect that the missing C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_482730\depot_482732\* folder MAY have contributed to slower performance. After all, it does contain important dll's. In the absence of that folder my system used this location instead C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2017.

I`m pretty sure Steam downloads 64-bit version automaticly, if you have 64- bit operating system.
