Why the f are the players being retarded

I manage man u and my players do fine against majority of teams and execute my instructions well. However, when they come up against teams like bayern the players for some reason freeze and won't run/move for s***. It's like they forgot how to walk and cannot even make the simplest of passes. Also, so many effin offsides. why the hell is everyone suddenly all getting into offside positions?? what the hell??

Suddenly my 50 million dollars striker can't score a goal to save his life and my goalkeeper whom I broke the bank to sign suddenly looks like he's about to shat his pants and can't move a muscle against these "bigger" clubs.

My defender who is getting paid to defend suddenly forgets how to defend and keeps giving possesion to opposing team.

So much BS, dissapointed and they say they fixed ME. Nothing's fixed ffs.

The game isn't rigged. It's exactly the same for the AI as it is the user. Your players may be struggling in big matches for instance as there are a huge amount of variables which go into every single moment of the match.

Is there just not a way to have my players consistently to just listen to instructions regardless of what result surfaces? I would just like my tactics being executed via performance, if I lose that's okay. But all of a sudden, they start making ridiculous attempts to dribble and pass long. This really supports the idea that game is heavily rigged and engine will decide the outcome and forces the game performance according to it, no matter how ludicrous measures need to be taken.

It's not FIFA - you don't have direct control of any of your players, much like Mourinho couldn't stop Pogba handballing against Liverpool yesterday. You can guide your players and depending on how respected you are as a manager, your tactics and the players you have this will make the difference.

Make sure you're not picking very expressive roles or asking the players to 'Be More Expressive' if you want them to rigidly follow your instructions. Also start the game as a high reputation manager (say International) and you'll have more chance of having greater control.
