i also use box to box midfielders and behind them a deep lying playmaker. sounds a bit funky but works well. 2 hard working, harassing midfielders and behind them a playmaking midfielder similar to pirlo. he is the guy for me that passes that ball to the player who makes the assist, (usually a marauding fullback or winger) if that makes sense. it takes time just tinker around to find what works. sometimes certain teams just dont have the players to play your style.
took me alot of trial and error to find a tactic that worked for my save 4231 to 4321 to 442.. it was a bit crazy
