Thanks for the big patch.

i started playing this but then stoped ever since i heard about the final boss encounter not been great and other issues...cant wait to actually sit down and continue my playthrough when the patch drops.

damn i didn't think I'd ever boot this game up again. With mission markers maybe now I can complete the game without frustration.

All good things, thank you. I honestly thought this game was never going to get another update and although the game is great there were definitely some bugs and glitches on Citadel Station. Super excited about the Steam Deck update as I played my first playthrough on the deck locked at 40fps (Please take a look at the effects graphics option as that is one that really impacts the deck's performance - it has to stay on low to keep 40fps). Performance was good on the computer though. Being able to skip the death cutscene now is a win!

Yes. I like System Shock 2 way more than 1.

I've just started my first play-through and I'm blown away so far. Amazing atmosphere!

I really hope we'll one day see a remake of System Shock 2. I'll certainly buy the remaster, but it's probably going to feel weird after this fantastic version of its predecessor ;)

I +1 to this. one of the annoying things that keeps me away from returning to play.

Unpopular opinion: It's supposed to be like that. You can get WAY MORE credits than you can actually use and you can get enough tri-credits without vaporizing anything. Adding button to vaporize everything encourages mindless scraping but if you want to do it anyway you have to do it manually so it is actually worth something. Even if its price is a little time and small annoyance.

There’s a rumor that the patch was finished and ready months ago and that the publisher wouldn’t let them release it for the PC version until the Console port was ready. The timing does kind of add up. But it’s weird behavior to block an update for one platform like that.
