Are im softlocked now? (need isolinear chip)

I seem to need a isolinear chip.
Found a REALLY LARGE PILE of them in research level. Didn't pick them up.
So that means im softlocked now?

Or are it spares somewhere else?

If im softlocked it should really warn me "You forgot something critical behind you, do you really want to continue", and if you continue, it should stop autosaving (and perhaps disable manual save too) and once you reach the isolinear chip jack, it will be game over kind of.

Spoilerless tip: You should loot what you kill.

Spoilery tip: The ones below were burned out failures (like me). You loot the correct one from the person who made those failures, she is now the cortex reaver on the bridge level that you should just have killed on that very level.

ooh now I understand. I tought I had failed but now I found the chip. I do loot corpses (but not robots, they rarely had anything except access cards but that was for nearby door), but since I recongnized the shape from the research level I tought I had failed big.
