You can find a handful of coins throughout the levels, but it won't be nearly enough for 2 modkits.
if thats true then its a questionable design choice if you ask me , how are you suppose to know that there is 2 upgrades there that you need to save money for , i hope they can recognize this problem and patch it in the future.
How is it a questionable design choice?
Out of hundred of thousands of users for this game this is the first thread I see complaining about not having money for those two modkits.
It isn't a requirement to have those and they don't significantly improve your combat performance with those weapons. Think of it as a reward for people who saved money or collected enough for it. You didn't even need to vaporize everything. If you were just picking up enemy weapons and scraping them on top of some larger scrap items you'd have way more than you'd need to buy everything in the game.
Scrapping everything I could get my hands on left me with over 900 coins after buying every healing patch, reflex patch, ammo vending, and weapon upgrade. I'm not saying you should do that, I am just saying that I was 900 OVER what I needed.
I hope they don't patch it in the future because games shouldnt just reward you for not being prepared.
not if you are trying to get the most achievements in the same playthrough , as someone with a huge backlog multiple playthroughs are out of the question on my part , i also noticed there is a bugged audio log in the wall in security floor that prevents you from getting that collectible achievement as well , i'm beginning to think that i should have delayed playing this game until its fully patched.
