,the one you inside is the optional one the same place the prologue took place. It might have a few items which have high recycle value.
The mandatory one is somewhere else locked behind a coded panel.
The code is flashing near the maintaince elevator one of the 4 number is the code as mentioned in an audio log.
Writte them down.
Open the coded door somewhere there kill the CPU nodes and make sure your hp and stuff is full as boss fights bypass the ress mechanics.
Will do, don't see much more left to explore on executive, but I'll give it another look.
I see, must have been reading people's answers wrong on here, thought someone said I had to press the master button to get some diagnostic message before I could go down to maintenance for that.
You need to do the 3 groves and activate the switches there.
After that past the boss fight there is a room where you need to activate the master switch it fails and you need to go to lvl 3 to fix it.
Once fixed you need to go back and hit the master switch.
(The room has teleporter so you you need little backtracking.)
And after that you need to launch to beta grove into the system shock 2 storyline.
That's the issue I'm having, I just can't find the boss fight. I have activated all the switches in the three accessible groves. I do see the keypad towards the south part of the executive level and that's where I'm assuming Diego is. So I guess I just need the keypad number.
I looked around in maintenance near elevators and stuff and could not find this flashing number, but that must be what I have to do next haha. All the doors I have yet to explore down in maintenance are all still locked, saying "no maintenance required" or some such, besides the one door that needs less security.
I'm probably just missing it, I'll keep at it. I'm just glad to have an idea of what to do next, was thinking my game was bugged or something for a moment there haha.
.And the flashing numbers ARE in executive near the maintaince elevator.
Ahh I see, haha that helps. Should be able to figure it out now, thanks man!
Edit: Yep, found the two codes flashing, thanks again.
Anyway good luck.
Haha kk, will look again.
