Not in the classical sense of the horror genre
It has horror elements (technohorror kind off)
But its more of a survival, dungeon crawler, with gadgets, shooter
With a lot of freedom, you can walk everywhere, and you need to figure out what to do on your own

It makes you experience the horror of playing a game in 2024 that forces you to takes notes with a pad and pen.

I wouldn't call it a horror game. It's most similar to BioShock, if you've played that, and if you enjoyed that, I'd definitely recommend this.

Games not holding your hand isn't a sin. It's something that should be commended.

Expecting the player to actually pay attention is something that needs to come back outside the realm of puzzle games.

The world does not need more ubisoft style trash.

The game industry is the new hollywood in that sense

There's a way to not lead players with a big yellow marker, without just forcing them to write stuff irl. We call those in-game notes. Deus Ex from 2000 had it.

And here you have logs of every email and voice log along with map markers with text labels.

There are many codes that change between playthroughs, some of them have to be written ON HAND because they aren't saved. The reactor's safety override code is the earliest example of this.

And guess what you can use map marker labels to keep track of:

The codes.

See a monitor with a number on it?

Place a marker on the map there with what the number says.

You'll still have to manually go back there to check the code

Are you not reading or something?

Map markers let you write things ON THE MAP.

You can view them FROM THE MAP.

Y'know. The map where you an view any floor of the station you've explored at any time.
