Medical Secret Door

So, I found the secret floor door in medical, but the "lift" is bringing me up by default making it impossible to actually enter. Is there another switch somewhere to reverse it, or is it just bugged?

Iirc you can reach the button to toggle the direction of the over lift by crouching. It's on one of the walls.

I tried crouching while hovering to press the button, which takes me a little lower, but never seem to reach it.

Well, you can also disable those pads temporarily with an emp grenade. I know there's another way to do it, but I'm blanking at the moment.

Incidentally, the emp method can be used later in a puzzle room involving those same kind of pads to not deal with part of it.

I just started up a new game to check and the button seems to normally be timed. So something's just gone wrong with my first save. The EMP however worked like a charm! Thanks for the tip

I have exactly the same problem.
