Those who pre-ordered SS1R will get SS2EE for free once it get released.

Looking at ND I assume 2025 at earliest release time.

I assume those who did not pre order will need to buy it.

I hope SS2EE will have good coop mode.

2025 is hopium considering it's Nightdive. It might be 2026 with first hotfix in 2027.

How is it that Ataridive have announced and released collectively four or five games in the time that this enhanced edition was seemingly abandoned? was it all just a marketing ploy and since Atari own them now it's just not at all a priority any more?

Well System shock remake was supposed to get released in 2016 or so on the Unity engine.

But it got delayed a lot.

So likely SS2EE is not a priority.
