where is the elevator to security?

searched the entire enginering deck and nothing.
also the point of no return is when i go up the long ladder to the flight deck right?

The point of no return is when you walk through the doors into the security deck. There’s a small antechamber after you get off the elevator and once you leave that room, you can’t go back.

ok thank you. but how do i get to the level. i cannot find the entrance.

If I remember correctly it's the elevator that's near Diego's office.

edit: the one with the teleporter nearby

all 3 of the elevators on the exec deck do not lead to security. just checked.

Its on the engineering deck. I can’t really give you an exact location because I dont have a save that I could use to check right now. Its on the engineering deck though.

ive been spending the past hour (minus this trip to exec) and i cant find it.
i love what they did with the levels and all. but like. color coated sections. if the level has to be all red at least make it diffrent shades of red so i know where im going.
that way its still faithful but less people will get lost.

at least the moment i find the elevator ill never get lost again on my newer playthoughs.

Use the map markers to plot out where you have already searched.

i use the map markers to mark elevators. either way i found it. not making the mistake of passing by it and thinking its a dead end on the map again.

huh, your right. in the origional i belive you could go back. but im probobly wrong on that.
welp. time to fully explore the lower decks. grab all items, scrap them gather a ton of medipatches from respawning humanoid mutants and then after like idk. 12 hours of prep time gameplay go into the security level proper.

Elevator to security is in Gamma wing, close-ish to the medical bay for System engineering. Specifically, it's in the S/SW portion of the deck. Go as far South / SW as you can.

there is a room that connects:
south gamma antenna where you place explosive
east to a room with a red light bridge
west to a room with the elevator inside, that sometimes does not appear on the map

because the elevator is against the south wall, and you need to walk near the south wall to make it appear on the map

Yea its a bit of a miss, it's not marked on the map at all, so it looks like regular dead end, so even if you stopped by it previously (my case it seems) its fairly easy to forget it ever existed.
