Extra Storage?
Hi

For those who have gotten further into the game, or finished it, do you get access to bigger storage lifts? Or a bigger inventory?

Thanks

There are two inventory expansions, that all together add up to one more row of space.

Okay, cool. Thanks. Just wish there was a bit more storage space in the elevator to drop off un-needed stuff.

You can use crates near Maintance big elevator to store stuff for later. I use it myself for guns/ammo/buffs. This area is fairly good since it connects to many other early and late game areas, so it's quick access.

I just use the big maintenance elevator room (not the elevator) to store everything Like Wenex said. You can even just drop stuff on the floor in there for later since everything will stay.

Yes, I have no idea why the storage lift is so tiny, they could have made it any size they wanted.

The frequent lack of inventory space is just one of the frustrations with this game. It helps if you dump all the ammo for weapons you aren't carrying in one memorable place.

The cargo lift area in Maintenance is a useful central drop off point, currently mine is littered with weapons, ammo and plot items. :steamfacepalm:

As you push into the later areas, the Executive medical room is another useful spot.

Of course - I never thought to use the big crates, particularly the ones in Maintenance. Thanks for the tip, guys. :)

Again, thanks for the tip!

Items in the world don't despawn so I just used the shelves in my favourite med bay

Be careful leaving stuff in the elevator though. Think i read someone mention that items can fall through the elevator as it's moving. But as other mentioned, lv3 maintenance near the big elevator is a good central spot for storing extra gear.
But in general it is very safe to just drop em anywhere on the ground. You can then place a map marker as a reminder of where you left the stuff.

I think instead of more space some items shouldn't take up so much. That's the issue I've had. Seriously, why does a book take up as much space as my handguns? Or why does a metal pan take up as much as a shotgun? Why don't they stack either?

Those are like encyclopedia books though. And can be quite large, easily as large as a handgun. The metal pans are a wee bit too large though. But they are also terrible salvage value.. so i just melt them on the spot.

I'll heartily second this recommendation (Maintenance has elevators to levels 4,5 and 6, as well as 2). It's basically a hub for the first 2/3rd of the game and somewhere we all return to for one mission or another.

I feel like the spacing on the Storage Elevator and the Recycler is an instance of copy and paste. They had working code for one and used that to create the other. The Recycler is particularly confusing to me because wouldn't you want that thing to be as big as possible?

It connects to reactor level as well. And the elevator going to lv6, is very close to the teleporter going to lv7. So it's one of the better central storage locations to use.

I'm referencing the triop handbooks which are pretty thin. The others, sure they're pretty thick. But the handbooks take the same space but are not nearly the same and don't even stack.
