I personally love it.
You seem to dislike exploring and you seem to look for a simple shooter. This game is not for you.
Well they wanted to stay faithful to the original game. If it isnt for you then it isnt for you.
You might enjoy Prey 2017 more maybe.
I guess yeah makes sense, I'll try to get into this game more maybe, the music is also cool... but ehh
Yeah, it can be a slow burn.
I personally enjoyed how much thinking was involved since all progression seems to be given to you hours in advance on top of found audio logs.
So figuring out how to handle the objectives and also figuring out where stuff was that youve seen is a big fun factor for me personally.
Combat... isnt the greatest Ill agree but it was enjoyable and not a negative for me. (:
Hope you get into it, it is an addictive game.
Anyway, i do agree with OP. While this is a faithful remake of the outdated game, a less faithful version with 25% less maze would've been great.
There are so many areas that make little-to-no sense, and serves only to add confusion.
