FINALLY: Chromatic Aberration is gone. TEXT is visible
https://www.nexusmods.com/systemshock2023/mods/20
The text is finally legible. The developers should be ashamed that the community had to do this. Year 2023 btw
And next, remove that hideous ASMR grunting/swallowing sound during your poisoning
Thanks moders

yeah it indeed is a modern effect.

It can be turned off from the settings. Also whats with the arrogance as if you are some kind of a messiah making changes noone besides you asked for?
Nope. Absolutely cannot be turned off from any selection from in the game. Also, it’s common knowledge that most gamer’s universally hate Chromatic Aberration and many of us want it removed. You kinda seem like the arrogant one tbh, and you’re not even correct lol

Options -> Graphics -> Post processing quality:
"Adjusting Post Processing will tweak the look of full screen effects, such as bloom, CHROMATIC ABERRATION, and depth of field." (emphasis mine)

Oops.

I shouldn't have to clarify that we're talking of a separate setting to remove it, not a catch all that turns off a ton of effects all at once and makes the game look worse. Having separate settings for DoF, CA, Motion Blur, etc are all common practice anymore. The fact that I have to explain this to you is quite sad.
Also, we are talking about the text and the icons. The Post Processing catch-all in the Graphics option only removes it from the 3D world, not the UI, which is what this entire thread is about. Someone didn't do their research before speaking with confidence! Oops.

Doesn't turn it off, ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just lowers the effects' quality.
