How do you lean with a controller?

It kind of looks like it says to press in L-stick to lean in the controller settings, but the settings icon is illegible (like much of the text/icons in this game wtf) and I can't get it to work. Anyone figured this out?

Also, while we're here, is there a way to set up a controller to browse the inventory with the d-pad?

Controller support seems very spotty in general. It says "right stick" click by default for both that and sprinting, even though sprint is actually left stick click. There's a ton of stuff you simply cannot map on controller, and even stuff you can but can't map on KB+M. Both control schemes are honestly kinda lacking in places.

Controller support for this game is not very good at the moment--play it with KB+M for now.

They'll have to improve it to get it accepted for release on PS and XBox, so hopefully we'll get those improvements patched into the PC version as well.

Guess I’ll stop and wait until the controller support is patched. Wish I hadn’t played more than the 2hr refund window. Kinda whack that they have literal button mapping for lean in the controller options and it just does not work.

Hey my friend, found out the answer to your quandary. Sorry if it's too late. Posting just in case anyone else looks this up.

"To lean with a controller, hold LT to aim, press LS once to toggle leaning, and move LS left or right to lean." Can confirm this works.
